Daystreamer: a Production update!

The last month, we’ve almost entirely switched gears from workshopping the material, to actually producing this thing! Recording of songs is well under way, and we’ve been dressing up sets, rehearsing the first few episodes, and even doing some filming.

Yeah, it’s all becoming real now. No more hiding behind the theoretical nature of the project, it’s time to deliver!

A common misstep of mine is to tinker with things endlessly, rather than getting them out the door, as soon as they’re in solid shape. I certainly made that error with writing the scripts (“I’ll just write one or two, film them, then see if I want to keep going” I said - ha!). A similar issue was starting to happen with rehersals, where we kept working, but with no real objective about what was left before we could shoot. So we’re blazing on ahead! There’s a pretty good chance that we’ll have the first 3-4 shot by the time I’m ready to actually release the first one, but we’ll just see how it goes. In the meantime, I’m having a ton of fun with this, and the cast and band have been great to work with. Wish us luck, and we should have something real to show you soon!
